Our last wedding of 2020 at Crystal Oaks Venue in Fort Worth Texas was just everything we could have asked for! We had the best team, best bridal party, and best couple. For those who know me, you know I’m hands down the biggest Selena fan and this wedding played plenty of Selena. I’m still signing the songs the day after! September 19, 2020 we couldn’t have had more perfect weather, everyone was enjoying the bar outside with a light breeze. It felt TRULY amazing after this scorcher of a summer we had here in Texas. We also had the A Team vendors with Ryen from Hype4Entertainment on the spins and Ammie from Glitter and Glue Weddings holding down the fort on the coordination.

The timeline worked in favor for me as a photographer, I feel like we got 5x more portrait time because of the first look and record setting short ceremony! (THANK YOU AMBRYA!!) These two meant business when it came to pictures of just the two of them and that just made my heart GLOW with happiness. Our bride opted for a romantic color palette with metallic touches for their wedding. Each table was equipped with a moscow mule mug for each guest to enjoy throughout the night. How fun, right!?

My Favorite Details

1. Ambrya’s biological father was a drummer in a Tejano band when she was younger. She was sweet enough to include his drumsticks with his name etched in them to honor his passing and to feel his presence on her wedding day. To have such an incredible heirloom, I felt it was my duty to be intentional about including him in her photos.
2. Look, I’m a dog person and Ambrya is a dog person. I was so sad they couldn’t bring their babies Joey and Benny to the wedding but our couple thoughtfully had their bar sign artistically painted with the cutest little photo of Benny boy. On the menu? Margaritas and Moscow Mules! Ugh, I loved this idea so much! It made me think of my furbabies and how much I couldn’t wait to hug them when I got home.

Aaron & Ambrya, I can’t put into words how thankful I am for the two of you. I’m thankful for your trust, patience and most importantly your friendship. 2020 has been an uproar of a year, your wedding was the only thing I had to look forward to since June and I’m so glad we were finally able to celebrate you as a couple after we had to postpone due to COVID-19!
